My sister just said something to me very sweet. I've just done an illustration for my Lord of the Rings site, and it's not like my other fantasy art of late. It isn't fully rendered like an airbrushed painting, and it's more akin to Ralph Bakshi's scenery art in his cartoon of Lord of the Rings. I find him very very inspiring, as he's successful, and his work is very intensely emotional, and not photographicly perfect. It's all about the brush stroke, the emotive line and the beauty in that, rather than how pretty it is. He animated a great movie, and I hope that this means that I can animate one of my own movies one day. Perhaps BirdMaritaN, or Carrie and the Magnetism. Anyways, Tina said to me as I showed her this artwork, which is very rough, thick and heavy;

"Believe in what you work on."

It's so simple, but it's true. So thank you Tina, I will.

Nancy.
