I reckon there's a lot I could learn from my old cat.

Just now, my cat had a turn. She couldn't walk straight for some strange reason - there was something wrong with her back end. I freaked out. Mum was calm. After a minute of resting, Melma got up and was fine.

SHE SCARED THE SHIT OUT OF ME. I'm taking her to the vet anyway just to make sure she's all right, but holy SHIT. She just refuses to be old and decrepid, that cat. She's a fighter. It's kind of magnificent, really.

I'm still worried about her, though. She's such a special cat.

It's OK darling. They do that when they get older. Their brain fires differently, and sometimes doesn't fire up right anymore. If she keeps having turns on a regular basis, then take her to the vet. It's OK. *pets*

I stayed with a dog that did it on a regular basis once. Patches. You just had to leave her alone for a bit, and then she'd get up and walk around just fine.

*sigh of relief* Okay. I might take her to the vet at some point anyway, cause she's overdue for a check-up. *big hugs*

EDIT: I should also point out that when she was just a year and a half, she got run over by a car and had to have her hip reset. She's been pigeon-toed ever since, so it's surprised me that her hip hasn't given her troubles before now. But still. Eesh!
