I'm perusing this list of '100 things we didn't know a year ago' and came across this little story about cats. I'm both surprised and delighted to find out that cats have been living with humans for about 130,000 years now. That's a bloody long friendship, dudes. :D

But the earth is only 9000 years old! Have you not read the bible?!?!?!

Cats are fantastic little creatures. Sometimes I just sit there and gaze at my little moggie and think, "Could the cosmos have made a more perfect little creature?"

But I'm heavily biased. LOL!

Aww the picture in that story is just adorable.

Good to know that cats have been our friends around for that long, hey :)

I know. :) I've heard so called 'experts' say that cats haven't been around humans for very long, but I think this blows holes in that little assumption.

I think it was thought thus because of the little association between many wildcat species and the domestic species. It certainly sheds a different light :)

No. Even the one we jokingly say is adopted can play wind instruments and write childrens stories. :D And she can sing fine, she just doesn't do it very often. LOL!

ETA: I love that song too. Hehehehe.
