Went to see the Medicine maaan.

Okay. Health bitchin' time - sort of.

I went to see Dr. Gan today. The one thing I'll say about him is that he is a man of action. In one appointment with him he:

- arranged for a colonoscopy
- referred me to a dietician
- referred me to a neurologist
- gave me a prescription for some new pills to try.

So, I'll be busy getting better quite obviously. Of course, now I need to know what to do with Centrewank. I'm not getting better, and they want me to look for work. It's a stress-out. They said I couldn't bring in any more medical certificates, and I'm like, "FUCK. But I need more time!!" *sigh*

The worst thing is that I have to wait a couple of months to see the neurologist. Which means my meegraines aren't going anywhere. Which means I'm useless until I see the brain doctor.

God. Why does my life have to be so fucking complicated?!

Hey thats good he has you going to see those ppl, some drs take for ever before they start to find out whats wrong/how to fix it!

Centrelink ... does your dr know theyre hassling you out? When I told mine they were doing that to me she then put me on permanent - "youre not ready to look for workness"....

Colonoscopy is a breeze. For me it was anyway. Fast, go in, sit around for a little bit, they wheel you into the room and then before you can even get too nervous about it they knock you out.

Centrelink, yeah it's a pain. Is the special one for people with disabilities or medical shit easier on people than the normal Newstart? It'd have to be, so maybe it won't *as* bad? And it's not like you'll have to work straight away, you'll just have to look for work, which is as easy as looking in the paper and on the net. And you'll only have to go to hand the form in once a fortnight. So it isn't too bleak.

Tina... I'm having problems going in to get the forms in. I've been THAT sick with migraines this week. I can't walk in. I have to wait for Dad to be free to drive me in. And don't pretend that being on Newstart is a breeze - you know it's not. It's constant badgering to find work, tramping around to meet people, two days of going in to a jobsearch facility a week and staring at screens. How am I supposed to get to those facilities? Dad can't take me every time - he'd go nuts! It is bleak - it's a fucking disaster!!

I am glad that this doc is getting you the help you need. In terms of Centerdink you could inform your doctor, and he can give you a leave of absence letter that you can't work until you're healthy..???
