I'm all like, "WTF?" and he's like, "Oh, I forgot, your tummy's sore."

No, Dad, that's not why I was staring at you like an alien has inhabited your body. Just try think back - when's the LAST time you acted like the affectionate Dad to me ... mmmm, let's think, oh NEVER?!

BWahahaha. He's such a fucking oddball. I like him old and mellow and senile.

Fucking weird cause my Dad isn't like that. Usually he'll walk in and tell me to clean something. And if I go up to hug him he'll be all "Piss off, will ya?" but in an embarrassed kinda way.

So while I'm all WTF!!?!>!?!!11! at the same time the neglected little girl is all "HE HUGGED ME! DADDY HUGGED ME!" LOL!

My dad always was an affectionate dad. With me, my suster and my brother. We were such a daddy's girls ^_^ And now it's my little brother time. Thinking about it, I should be more affectionate with my dad, he is a great father... with all his obliviouness hehehe.

You should. I've had heaps of moments in the past where I wish my Dad would be a little more affectionate with me, where all I've felt is an annoyance to him. That's lessened now he's retired. He's starting to actually get to know his kids a little better, it helps somehow. :) And he's way more mellow than he used to be.
