I mean, he's such a pimple that even Malcolm Turnbull is considering crossing the floor on this issue (Climate Change).

The entire Liberal Party is in such a fucking shocking condition right now, I fear for anyone that would actually vote for that bunch of jokers.

And, sadly, the worse it gets, the less the Labor Party has to bother to even try.

Bloody shambles.

Yes. It's terribly frustrating.

I'll vote for them. But my family are all Liberals and have been for years, and as much as I dislike Abbott, I dislike Rudd more. It's a sticky situation, though - it's become less about the lesser of two evils for me and more about party loyalty, which...isn't a nice feeling, really, because party loyalty is a bit pointless when your leaders have stopped standing up for what you believe in.

See, I avoid that dichotomy entirely by voting for the Greens. But I'm a hippy-dippy tree-hugger like that. :)

Ah, yes, but they preference to the ALP, and for a long-time Liberal like me, that's pretty much unforgiveable. :P

Fair enough. I figure if enough people vote for them, they won't have to do that anymore.

I hope so - but really, I just hope the Libs get back in shape some time soon. I thought Turnbull had real potential before he completely ruined that over Utegate - he's always had shaky political instincts, but I was hoping they'd get better, not worse, over time. I'll always be a political conservative, so I don't think I could really vote for someone else - but I do with the guys I'm voting for would sort of get their act together. That'd be nice.
