Dear Mens,

Don't you dare shave off that beautiful body hair! Please, please, please! Not unless you like to, but don't do it out of societal pressure or because you think it's unacceptable or unattractive.

I could go into a big long argument as to why body hair on men is such a wonderful, beautiful thing, but instead, I shall show a brief slide show to demonstrate:

Yours,
Nacey.

~~~
Note: This isn't a slight to our lesser haired brethren. Indeed, I have a great many crushes who don't have an abundance of chestal hair growth (James McAvoy, Ted Raimi, Elijah Wood, Oded Fehr (though I suspect he might shave), the list goes on...). I just don't think men should buy into the bullshit that having body hair is somehow less hygenic. It's NOT. It's bad enough that women feel bad and are treated like lesser people if they accept their bodies for what they are and let the hair grow free. Are we going to make it worse and start shaming the other half of society as well? When are we going to let people do what they like with their bodies and respect them as people regardless? Or am I being a silly idealist again?
Yeah, I mean, I love men whether they're hairy on the chest or not. But eliminating all body hair, honestly? It kind of creeps me out. It's just a personal preference, but I like men to be hairy down there. Combine that with a rampant erection and that's - that's pure man. Oh lawdy, that's a lot of man! *LOL* *fans self* I gotta say, compiling this post and putting that slide show together has raised my temperature a bit. Gonna go have a nice cool drink. Maybe after a marathon session of frenzied masturbation. BWAHAHA!
I have no problem with manscaping. I erm - womanscape? Keep things neat and trim, if only for summer and personal preference. I view it as the same as plucking my eyebrows - I like the way it looks and I feel good when doing it. If someone feels that way about removing body hair then I don't care.
I just hate the thought of men being made to be ashamed of their body hair. Clearly you're not ashamed, you're proud of it - you're taking care of it and styling it in a way that pleases you.
I just know how it feels to hear people go on about how dirty and disgusting the hair is, knowing full well that the person that they're talking to is au naturale. I hear it all the time and I'm fucking sick of it. But I'm doing the full 70s feminist thing right now - hairy legs and a hairy twat! Why the fuck not? I'm single, so nobody is going down there on a regular basis other than me, and it's coming to winter so I'm not wearing short skirts. And if you manscape, you know how much that shit itches like a bitch when it grows back! I fuckin' hate that! LOL!
I think if I were a man, I'd be super scruffy with a goatee and shit. Actually, I'd be a hot guy. Olive skin, warm brown hair, blue eyes, strong bone structure... Yeah. I'd have the girly hips like my bros though. HAhaha, I wouldn't get rid of those by procuring a Y chromosome!
(I'm rambling, shut me up, dude!)
That's a very wise choice. *nods* It's why I prefer trimming. If I must remove hair, I wax. Then it grows in soft. Tries to sneak past me that way, evil little follicles.
On the upside, shaming men into taking care of their hair a bit better has given us the term 'manscaping'. Which has yet to stop making me laugh.
You've got to have your priorities right :P
Mine too! And so's my dad, who was the main male person in my life while I was growing up (and the only male I lived with until I was an adult). Seriously, I was like 18 and at uni before I discovered that a lot of guys are hair-deficient.
My Dad isn't generally hairy. But I've had issues with my Dad, which is why I probably go for darker, hairy men who are soft and sweet like my Mum rather than Nordic types.
...My Mum isn't hairy. Not much. I mean, only in the predictable "My mother is from Malta" kind of way, which I've inherited! Bwahahaha!
Yeah, I'm not so crazy about back hair either. But I accept it as a part of being human cause, damn, if I rejected a man for back hair, I'd be a hypocrite of the first order. I mean, when I say not crazy, I'm talking Chuck Norris amounts. A little bit doesn't phase me.
I totally agree with you. People should be allowed to be themselves, however they want to. (Appearance-wise, anyway.)
Oh, I like pretty, hairless boys as much as any woman. I just don't think our hairy men of the world should feel pressured to look that way. :)
And yes. I have a good taste in hairy men. :-D
LOL! They totally do! My last boyfriend had a lovely hairy chest and muscles, I absolutely adored to look at his chest. He thought he was too pale but I thought his skin was lovely. But I like pale skin, I'm strange that way. I liked how pale Hugh Jackman was in the first X-Men movie as well!
There's absolutely nothing wrong with keeping things trimmed to aid the ease of oral sex. I do that all the time when I'm with someone. Nothing worse than having ridiculously long pubes stuck in your mouth!
I shave pretty much everything because the feel of freshly-shaved skin feels awesome to me, but I never expected any of my boyfriends to do the same...my current boyfriend isn't hairy at all, but I've dated some pretty hairy guys in the past and it never bothered me. They would even ask if it bothered me and I was confused as to why it would!
Besides, if I were a dude I'd be way too terrified to shave down there. I do know a guy who has hair growing ON his dick...or so he says. Never seeing it, I don't know how bad it is, but he actually has to shave his penis (he says it's only around the base) because during sex the hairs get pulled out and causes rashes and pain for like days after :x Eep!
OW. Having a hairy dick sounds painful! Poor guy!
I like shaving my legs sometimes. I don't shave my pits but my hair there is so soft and brown there's no point. It's like fairy underarm hair. It glints gold in the sunlight!
Want to know something seriously hilarious about my pubes? They're brown at the front and BLONDE on the labia! Blonde from the clit to the back! I always make a joke that I'm brown on top and blonde down below! *laughs*
Ooo, multi-colored pubes! Fancy! :D
I have a landing strip by Small's request. I used to shave aaaall of it off, but he hinted that he likes a bit of hair down there so I was like "Eh, whatevs!" so I leave a bit for him XD I wash it with shampoo and conditioner and it are *~soft~*
