Help me out: Music edition.

Hey my bizzinatches. Okay, so I'm writing a scene in this story. Ares, Xena. They're a dark, sexy couple. I need dark, sexy music. But it's not just all 'fuck fuck sex fuck'. There's a sad undercurrent to these two. What I'm listening to currently is some of the sadder, sweeter Queen songs (for the romantic part of the pairing) and Portishead tracks (for the fucked-upness). But i need a little something else. Any suggestions?

Yeah, except I live in Claremont. Murder has been a horrible reality here in my life, not just some dark fancy that most people never encounter personally. I love the song and I think it's just brilliant, but I can't enjoy it. I can't watch crime TV either. I'm a totally unfun sort of person like that. The only reason why I can stomach most of the action movies and shows I like is because the violence is so cartoon-like and people rarely stay dead in them.

Well, I was same age as the victims when the Claremont Serial Killer was around. I never walked anywhere alone and was hyper-vigilant for years afterwards. It was horrible knowing that my home town, the place I always felt was safe and sweet, was a place where girls had been taken against their wills. The fear was totally palpable. Horrible. :(
