I need help!!

So, my external harddrive (apparently designed by Porche, like that fucking matters right now) has died. Apparently I left it on all the time and that's a big no-no. *hangs head* My bad!
But I want to rescue the information from that hard-drive and put it on a new one. Can anyone help me figure this out? The LaCie drive that's died has all my old fic on it, all my websites, MY NEW BIRDMARTIAN COMIC and precious family photos that I don't have stored anywhere else.
I don't know WHY it chose now to die on me. It's not like I don't have enough shit on my plate as it is, but eh - I guess I didn't use it correctly! *sigh*
