When you run out of "Cosmos" watch the movie "Contact" with Jodie Foster and Matthew McConnaghey. It's a fine adaptation of Sagan's novel. I dare you not to cry when the title shows up, in the end credits, reading "For Carl."

After that? Have you met James Burke? If you have, you're already rubbing your hands in glee. If you haven't, trust me. No. I mean trust me. Connections, The Day The Universe Changed and COnnections 2. Oh, yes.

Oh I saw Contact pretty soon after it came out. I have it on DVD as soon as they started selling it. Cause Mum fucking loved that movie and loooves Carl Sagan. :D :D Thanks for the suggestions!
