Nail Polish Review
Jul. 13th, 2008 07:31 pmRevlon: Ornate Ore
You never know how good a polish is until you open the bottle and try it on your nail. Then you'll know the consistency, the density of colour and if applicable, the reflectivity of the shimmer/pearl particles.
Revlon, again and again, delivers with its new shimmery ranges. Just this past two years they've been releasing shimmery colours that kick serious ass. When I bought "Ornate Ore", I thought it would be a slightly glimmery dark taupy brown. It wasn't until I opened up the bottle and tried it on my nails that this gorgeous polish came to life. The glitter particles sparkle every colour of the rainbow. They're tiny and they're fiercely reflective. It needs more layers than expected to get the dark colour it looks in the bottle, but the dazzling reflective particles more than make up for this little disappointment. The multi-coloured aspect of the reflective particles means that this colour can be safely worn with a huge range of outfits of any colour. It would look particularly stunning on people with very pale skin.
I give it 8 out of 10 nail buffers.
