I'm making a man cake. I mean, I bought the cake for me but I had the cake mix and I thought, "Oh, won't it be nice to bake a cake so I can spoil him when he gets here?"

... Jesus. Maybe I am a better 30s wife than I thought! *laughs*

NO NO I SHAN'T! Well, it's like this, right? He spends a whole week working his ass off up north for 10 hours a day. I figure the least I can do for him upon his return is have a nice cake sitting there.

I mean, he's bought me chocolate.

See, my first thought when you said 'man cake' was the sort of enormous cake you'd expect Captain Jack to burst out of the top of, stripper style.

I'm all confused now :)

You ouch? You just basically told me I've been unfunny and boring for ages and made a joke that I'm merely here for your amusement. If anyone should be saying 'ouch' I think it's me, dude.

Don't you remember my comment on your 'Jerry springer' post? That's what the conversation reminded me of. And you have not been 'unfunny' for ages, just recently and that's because some rather unfunny shit has gone down lately.
And you have NEVER been boring. Sometimes I log on twice a day to see if you've posted anything.
And the thing about you being here for my amusement? Yes that WAS a joke.
P.S. I probably should have mentioned earlier in our friendship that I spend ninety percent of my time being a jerk. If this is a problem, I'll just stop leaving comments but please don't unfriend as I do love reading your journal, I know I don't deserve it but I also know that you are NOT a jerk.

... That Jerry Springer post was ages ago! I barely remember what happened last week in this journal.

The only way it works if you're allowed to be a jerk is if I'm allowed to tell you to get fucked, see. Last time someone acted like a jerk persistently to me, I told him to fuck off. I don't stand for being treated badly. Now, you want to be on my friends list and keep up with how I'm doing. I'm fine with that, I really am. But if you feel a jerky moment coming on, keep it to yourself. I really don't wanna know. I'm a sensitive person (duh!) and one shitty comment can ruin my day.

Fair deal. But please remember that I ALWAYS think that you are a great person. Beautiful, talented, creative, intelligent and so much better adjusted then me. This doesn't change because I might have something critical to say about one or two posts.
You are one of my favourtie people, and you don't know me well enough to know what a compliment that is.

My problem is my communication skills. They *SUCK*. When I wrote that it was fun to be clever and witty again, I didn't mean that you ever weren't. I was talking about how you aksed what people wanted you to post and I said I'd like to see more of your comedy. THAT's what the conversation reminded me of.
Also, I would please like you to note that anytime I offend you, I didn't mean to. Once again, It's not very many people who can claim that.

I'm heading down that path too. Last time I saw the boy I gave him a foot massage. >.> And when I see him in August I wanna massage the rest of him.

It scared me at first, my need to take care of him and pamper him. The feminist in me didn't like that at all...but then I realized that it's okay to want to take care of him in such small ways because he takes care of me and spoils me just as much, just not with cake. XP

So....go you!

Yeah, as a staunch feminist, I felt a bit weird about wanting to take care of a man so much. But, I think that's just a part of loving someone. I'd want to take care of the other party, regardless of their sex. Plus he's *SUCH* a good man, oh GOD, I'm keeping this one. *grins* He's so sweet, has the funniest little laugh and he likes looking at the things I make, like stories and drawings and music and so forth. A good, good man.

*nodnod* And the fact that they appreciate it means everything. I mean, just seeing him dozing off as I'm rubbing his feet or when he fell asleep in my lap before I left to get on the plane and then pouting because he wanted to be awake for the last bit of time we were together. That's what melted my heart I guess. For someone that's so strong to be so gentle and sweet...but just to me...makes me want to spoil him all the more.

Here I am babbling on so... =^.^=
