I thought I was going nuts. I had a nap cause I was feeling so ratshit and when I woke up, I had a crushing depression. Like, suicidal depression. I don't like feeling that and I got up immediately, took a Lovan and got on the computer to get busy. I asked my brother Paul (a fellow migraine sufferer) if he's ever been depressed after a migraine. Apparently so. I had a look on the net and yes, it's a part of the postdrome phase of migraines. I thought I was going nuts for a minute there. *sigh*

I'm just so bloody tired and exhausted. And I feel really out of it. Like, dizzy or something. Still a bit nauseous sometimes too. Dad keeps nagging me to do chores and I'm like, "Dude... not happening. Feel sick."

On the upside, my hair looks really good today. Shiny! I thought I had a silver hair, totally freaked out. Pulled it out, went into the sunlight (best way to check) and it gleamed a bright golden colour. Fucking blonde hairs. I'm a dark brunette and I get these fucking gold and ginger hairs mixed in there, particularly at the front. In fact, if you look at this icon - the mermaid face one? Look at the puff of hair at the side of my hair - see how much lighter it is than the hair at the top? Yeah. Must be the German side coming out, I think. "I VILL BE SEEN!" It's hard to beat out the wog genes, see. I like being woggy, though. Oily skin is great. And no, I'm not being sarcastic. In this hot dry climate I live in, it's death to have dry skin. I still moisturise, though, to keep my levels up.

I'm just rambling now. I'm going to fuck around on the internet some more!

I tend to get a pre-migraine misery- teary, tired and generally fragile. I think I just get tired afterwards- but I know other people find their emotions take a hit post- migraine.

You've got post-migraine brain sweetie :) My brain goes haywire before a migraine, something that I don't realise has happened until about 2 days later when I'm better. You had a real-right migraine there, something I don't get very much either, but have had on occasion. Yucky-blucky. My brain doesn't work right afterwards either. I always need a bit of time to get better. I'm fuzzy, blue, and very listless.

Happily enough, I seem to have broken my cluster headache/mirgaine cycle for now, and not working is a big part of it I think. I can't believe it. 4 years of struggling with it, I've quit work, and everything is better. Wow.

Anyway, I wanted to give you a hug *HUG* and tell you to take it easy until tomorrow.

(I've got German in me - just a German great-grandy on one side - and my hair's a bit funny too. :) )

(damn it, I can't edit my comments anymore. Just wanted to agree with [livejournal.com profile] nephron above - I'm pretty fragile after a migraine, and can get teary as well. I'll lump myself in with being emotional after one. I think it's because your brain takes an acid trip or something, and it's got to recover.)

Hehehe, that German in me line reminds me of a funny gag in the stage version of Cabaret. "Haff you got any Cherman in you? Vould you like some?"

Thanks, darl! *big hugs*

Well, I've been reading that they think migraines might be linked with wonky serotonin levels, which would link in with the mood shifts. I want sweet stuff but I'm too scared to eat chocolate. I'm sucking on orange tic-tacs. LOL!

No no, eat some chocolate. Just get a couple of little blocks, and suck on one at a time. Or have a hot chocolate. Your body is telling you what you need. Chocolate will help your brain re-balance it's seratonin levels. Just don't have a lot. :)
