I hate losing fan fiction. Over the past twelve years, I've moved over about 4 hard drives. In the process, I somehow lost the most complete copy of my one and only Buffy/Xander fanfic, "A Matter of Spiff". Stupid fic title, not a particularly amazing fanfic either. But it was mine, it was my little foray into Buffy and I thought it was tucked away safe on some HD. Sadly, it isn't.

I distinctly remember getting to the point where they were kissing. Instead it cuts off at Giles' place. Weird. I'll keep looking but I don't hold out much hope.

Ah well. It sucked from that point on anyway. *sad sigh*

Ack, don'tcha hate that? I wrote a bunch of stuff when I was in my teens but it was all written with Microsoft Works, and now I can't open the files without getting a bunch of gibberish. *cries*

I do still have them all on floppy discs, I just can't access them. :(

Try this site. One of these converters should help you. BTW: Do you even still have a floppy drive? I wouldn't even be able to look at the files let alone open them to look at gibberish! :P

Talk about a brain fade. 'Try this site...' and then I forget to post the fucking address...I need sleep.

I see it. :) And the link to the program that may be of use didn't work. :( "Page not found".

I think the majority of these files are Works 95, 98 at the latest.

Maybe if it was so long ago you actually only wrote the other stuff in your head and never on a keyboard?
