logansrogueI read my first piece of Doctor Who smut tonight. (Not The Who smut, though Roger/Pete OTP!!).
It was an incredibly uncomfortable experience. I discovered, during reading the fic, that I'm a bit stolidly old school British when it comes to Doctor Who. Don't get me wrong - the idea of Ten rutting and panting leaves me in paroxysms of pleasure. Ten ploughing into Rose - not so much. Rose is not a sexual object to me. She is a mixed up parcel of all the blonde female relatives I have - my sister Tina, my niece Emmy - just far too much like them both for me to be comfortable. I'll enjoy her as a character on Doctor Who and enjoy her having 'romantic' moments with characters but no sex, please. I just can't do it.
Martha - oh hell yes. I would love to think about Martha and Ten banging away like fiends!
... but they so wouldn't. Not right now anyway. Not any time soon. And as Tennant said, "There's no shagging on the TARDIS!"
I discovered tonight that as far as Doctor Who goes, I'm in it for the almost, the nearlies, the awesome character play. There is only one female I can see the Doctor mounting on a regular basis. We see him mounting her nearly every week.
The TARDIS really is a sexy bitch.
