Invariably true. :P Honestly, there is nothing worse sometimes than people who can say "*I* am [whatever group is being exploited], and I'M not offended, so anyone who IS is just out to make trouble!" Um... well... no. It doesn't work that way. I respect that she's not offended by it. I, myself, am not nearly as offended as many people (I think there's worse out there). I FULLY respect the indignation and outrage that many people feel over it, and she should do the same.
I understand why you're not that upset. In actuality, I'm *far* more upset over the Heroes for Hire picture than I am over that maquette. But it had people's attention on the issue so I supported those who were mad about it and went with it.

How true is that! *nods fiercely* I've run into that quite a bit on my job, believe it or not. I'm not exactly sure why I've witnessed stuff like that, but nonetheless, it's been there. I'm not sure if it ties into self-esteem issues or what.

Some people are just determined not to get it. I like that she has no time to click your link, but plenty of time to write about ten more posts. You're right to make your point and then give up on a particular person's argument thread after a while. Some people will just never be convinced. You still rock! And if you make a cyclops statue, I will totally want to buy one for my desk!
Ah she's terrible and her arguements are flawed. Honestly, that "Men are objectified too!" rant is so old! Now I know why they made that bingo card, it gets so tiring repeating the same defences to different dip shits. She seems to be the type of person that might thrive off male sexual attention. "Daddy please love me" complex maybe? Lol.
My brain went into express shut-down at the phrase "she is a woman that takes her clothing off for a living." Right around the time she referred to MJ as a "bitch," it refused to read any further. This woman obviously has some serious problems if she's looking at MJ's various careers and parsing them all out as "stripper."
