Thanks, darl! All that comic colouring I've been doing in the two years since my last fully coloured HP piece has made such a difference. I'm really keen to do another piece before the date comes. A bit of an action pose with wind and wands and hair and flowing capes and shit. And Harry and Hermione looking heroic. And HOT.

*hugs* Love you too, O Mistress of Awesome Lighting.

What I love about this picture is the fact that Hermione's look and hands and generally her body language all convey a sense of... "stop looking! damn voyeurs!" :P Seriously, it's brilliant.

The only thing I'm not so fond of is her hair... Everything else seems real and touchable (OMG HARRY'S HAIR), but Hermione's hair doesn't really fit in, you know?

Anyway, great job!

I had a world of trouble with that bitch's hair. Seriously. And I'm still not completely happy with it. I think I didn't give it enough depth or something. Oh well.

Thanks for the awesome feedback!

*comments here too* Dude. Full of squee over Harry's neck and Hermione's arse, and her expression, and the glasses in her hand and the coloring and folding of the clothes and just guh. Good stuff. *recs at my journal*

You had the lineart of this for some time, right? Or did I imagine things?

Anyways, you simply rule, you rock my socks and all that stuff. Love their bodies and their position, the hands specially! And I want to run my hands through Harry's hair! :P

Thanks, sweetie! Yeah, I did the line art two years ago. I'm starting to take WAY too long to do these damned things!

I miss Harry's longer hair! Stupid plays and movies making Dan keep it short! :(

I had fun with the hands. When hands go well, I thoroughly enjoy doing them, with all their knuckledniness and pretty bones. :D

Wow! Seriously hot and beautiful. The piece has a beautiful flow to it that makes you eye move over the entire thing ... then again ... and again. ;)

Oh man ... I think I need a cold shower where my brain is going.

Good colouring. The position of Hermione's eye is interesting. I've drawn Tank Girl in pretty much the same position, profile shot with a extreme sideways glance at the viewer. I actually tried to do that look in the mirror the other day to see if it was a plausible pose. It kinda fucking hurts lol! My eye felt like it was going to pop out of it's socket. I'm not saying you should change it or anything, I like that pose, as I said I've done Tank Girl in the same position. Just thought I'd mention in reality it hurts hehehehe.

Oh, totally not plausible as an actual pose. But neither is Mary being eight foot tall if she stood up with Michelangelo's Pieta. He changed shit to make it look good. :D

Oh, I love it. If they can pull it off and make it work, I'm usually pretty impressed. Making a glaring error like that NOT jump out at you is clever.

Where were you yesterday, woman!?
