I shared these over at otf_wank because there was a wank about boys in skirts. Since they're sitting on my photobucket account, I thought I'd share them with you guys.














The first two are my favourites. The last three were sort of for the benefit of others. :D And by all means, if you have some, share!

(And I explained to my brother Paul that the Scottish Men In Kilts thing for us girls is sort of like the Japanese Schoolgirl thing with guys. It's a specific cultural thing that a good chunk of the female population (and some of the men too I'd assume) go absolutely nuts over.)

McDonald of the Glen, which is a nice dressy colour. I could've gone with Buchanan, which is my actual clan tartan, but that looks too much like a pride parade threw up onto a test pattern.

Yeah, some tartans are really fucking ugly. Gunn has an absolutely *gorgeous* tartan, I think. All blue and green :D

Yeah it works. The blue/green tartans are always my favourites. Wear a red one and you like either a box of shortbread biscuits or a pencil case.

Well, my Dad wore kilts too. He was a piper in a pipe band (even though he's German). All my uncles and friends of my Gramps and Grandma wore them too.

I guess it's like this - I don't not like men in jeans just because my brothers wear them. LOL.

I have a special kilt icon for just such posts.

And yeah, I've heard the thing before from genuine raised-in-Scotland Scots about not finding the kilts to be sexy, so I think it may have to do A) with the lure of the exotic and B) with most of us non-Scots therefore mostly seeing only actors (a group prone to be both fit and handsome) and Ren faire people wearing them, rather than someone's unattractive grandfather.

Also, after having some people note that my white cabled kneesocks looked like kilt hose, I wound up ordering myself a women's kilt skirt from The Scotland Shop and after my payment having cleared weeks ago I finally got the e-mail today that my kilt was shipped. So I get to be wearing that soon.

Yeah, I guess they don't really like it. I've seen my Dad and my relatives in kilts but I still find the kilts thing hot. I guess it's less about the kilt and more about what I can SEE on the attractive men when they wear a kilt. I'm all about anatomy. Anatomy is my kink.

I have my own kilt now, a proper kilt from Scotland I got on eBay for the fraction of the price. A proper man's kilt in a titchy size so the cut isn't quite right, but it's beautiful. Irish National tartan too.

I didn't get the kilt thing at first... it is about who's wearing it.
