Yay books!
Sep. 28th, 2006 12:39 amI just bought a book online! Gotta tell ya, it was really hard to find.
I used to read it when I was a kid. That's an understated way of saying that I was OMG OBSESSED with the thing, that I used to borrow this book from the library all the bloody time and that Greek Mythology was like fandom to me. (ZEUS/HERA OTP!!!) I was a zealous Greek Mythology nut. I wrote my own Greek Myth for a school project, fer gawd's sakes.
Anyhoodles, I'd just stare and stare at the pictures, and read my favourite myths over and over and over again. I bought it cause I'd love to have a copy of my own, and it'd be cool to have a copy so my nieces and nephews can look at it. I used to stare at Perseus on the cover. It only just occurred to me that I thought he was hot - all tan and dark-curly-hair. See, you know where I get my taste in men from. Blame the Greeks!
I maintain that that Medusa on the cover is the freakiest one I've ever seen outside a Caravaggio!

Date: 2006-09-28 12:11 pm (UTC)I keep books in different places so that I can keep my brain going. Work, Car, living room, b-room, etc. They're all very different, so it isn't hard to keep track of what's going on.
