I just bought a book online! Gotta tell ya, it was really hard to find.

I used to read it when I was a kid. That's an understated way of saying that I was OMG OBSESSED with the thing, that I used to borrow this book from the library all the bloody time and that Greek Mythology was like fandom to me. (ZEUS/HERA OTP!!!) I was a zealous Greek Mythology nut. I wrote my own Greek Myth for a school project, fer gawd's sakes.

Anyhoodles, I'd just stare and stare at the pictures, and read my favourite myths over and over and over again. I bought it cause I'd love to have a copy of my own, and it'd be cool to have a copy so my nieces and nephews can look at it. I used to stare at Perseus on the cover. It only just occurred to me that I thought he was hot - all tan and dark-curly-hair. See, you know where I get my taste in men from. Blame the Greeks!

I maintain that that Medusa on the cover is the freakiest one I've ever seen outside a Caravaggio!

I was also a heavy reader, till I hit high school and I just didn't have time. Now I'm seriously trying to make up for it. ^_^

Dumb question, what does OTP mean? I'm so out of net lingo I feel like an old woman.

Ah, ok.

I keep books in different places so that I can keep my brain going. Work, Car, living room, b-room, etc. They're all very different, so it isn't hard to keep track of what's going on.

My bf laughs at me for it, but I think it's great. There's always something to read within easy reach.

hehe. i always loved Greek myths as a kid, too ever since we saw that one movie in class about the Greeks. I loved it to bits. I liked learning about Ulysses the best. Maybe thats why I always thought Xena and Ulyssess should've had another shot *shrug*

I was always an Ares/Xena fan myself. There really seemed no one that could come close to her strength and charisma.

But Ulysses is a great story. Odyssey is a good book!

Yeah, I remember you really liking the Medusa on the cover! :D Me? I was utterly enchanted with their drawing of Athena. That'll always be Athena to me, I think. Long auburn ringlets, green eyes, just awesome.

Awesome! I was highly into mythology when I was in HS. I wrote a childrens book for english lit called the 13th labour of Heracles. My teacher LOVED IT! Told me I'd be a famous writer one day. If only that was true. If I can find it in my crap i will send it on to you. Is clash of the titans not the best movie ever?

Oh man. Clash of the Titans - childhood CRACK! I also get a kick out of those silly Steve Reeves Hercules movies.

I'd love to read that story, it sounds fabulous!

Hey! Apropos of nothing, would you like what you've sent out of "What Is a Hero" archived or should I wait on further chapters? (Most people are not like me, since I refuse to archive my own in-progress works, but I always want to check in case you mind.)

Sure, you can archive it. Those chapters are pretty done. :D
