Well, I crammed as much food into my stomach as I could between 12 and six. Probably not the best idea but I didn't eat anything this morning and I realised that I had to eat something before fasting. I didn't really eat that much. I ate:

- 2 toast and cheese sandwiches
- handful of rice crackers
- a steak bar (meat thing)
- chocolate icecream and some wafers
- half a cup of yogurt
- a bit of chicken

So that's two meals worth of food, I guess. It was hard to get down but I didn't want to be too hungry tomorrow. I hate being hungry! I guess I'm going to be hungry anyway.

I took the phospho-soda buffered saline mixture. Salty crap drink, essentially. Lemon-ginger flavoured sea water. Or sea glook. I nearly puked after swallowing it. I still feel nauseous, but talking to my sister Helen, I hear this is quite normal. I'm waiting for it to seriously hit me. I don't think it will be fun. :( I'm thirsty, though, so I might have some water.

I already miss food. Sort of. :T I'm covered in x's so when I go into theatre tomorrow they'll know where to stick the EMLA patches. I demand them. I'm not having the op without them.

You'll be fine. *hug* It's not like you have to think about what's going on. Just kick back and wait for the pity/love to come rolling in. ^_^

It's the needles I'm worried about. The rest? Nothing I can do about it.

Gawd I hate needles. I was so happy when they came out with plastic IV's instead of metal. My skin freaks out otherwise!

The plastic ivs didn't hurt me. Then again, I was too full of painkillers to care.

Mmmm, painkillers...Personally I prefer codine. Most others give me the stomach crawlies.

Looks like you came out fine. Everything good?

I know the feeling. My tummy is still reeling from the S.flu.

How long are you going to be on the mend? Not long I hope. I'm sure you're already banging against the walls. ^_^

Good luck sweetie!
We'll be flying home when you're in the air, and we go straight from Monday to Wednesday, so we miss your op day.

When I'm in the air? It's okay, you can see me after you get back. You know, a couple of days after the op cause I'm not going to be fun now on the day.

Must run! Fleet taking effect!!!

Crap. That would be the 4 hours sleep I had. When you're in your op, although thinking of you drifting off asleep into the aether is a nice thought...

I will. Visit me, won't you? And you'll gain e-points with my mum if you look at her lappie. The jerks at the repair shop crunched her headphone jacks, it seems. Dick-cheeses.

Of course we will come visit, and give you sympathy and careful hugs. Possibly at a strange time of day or night due to jet lag.

There aren't really all that many ways to say I'll be hoping for the best which haven't already been said, but... nonetheless, I'll be hoping for the best. Here's to a swift recovery!

*hugs* Good luck! And I know all about that phospho-soda crap. I did get sick from it. And I made sure I told the nurse that it didn't taste any better coming up than it did going down. I could still feel bubbles.

I do feel your pain.
