logansrogue: (...in here life is beautiful...)

It was a totally wonderful evening. Going up, doing my songs, then hanging out with my family and friends afterwards. Mum and Dad were SO funny. Dad was playing pool and bopping to the rock music and being generally cooler than he should be at that age. It was so funny. Mum was enjoying it too. Dad plays pool astoungingly well for a Lorenz. When I play, I end up knocking my balls around the table for the whole game.

Anyway. The show. Was pretty good. I'm sure other people would say better things but I'm currently suffering the kind of depressive hangover you get when you shouldn't be drinking alcohol at all. And I'm suffering from the 'post-gig' downer. At the moment I'm all, "God, I hate myself! I hate looking at myself perform!" (that's me watching the video). And I'm so terrible live, I'm a much better studio recording singer. Oh well.

Feeling a bit pukey as well, this morning. Not good. And guts hurt. I certainly spent all my spoons last night. *sigh* Did I mention a headache, cause I certainly have one of those. On one glass of coke and bourbon. Weak coke and bourbon at that. Ohhh my head. I'm supposed to go to school today but I feel too sick. Fuck.

Had an awesome after-gig hang out session with Ebbie, Romy, a totally hot goth chick I can't remember the name of, Alex (who I still think looks like Dhani Harrison), Fineberg, Dave and ... was there anyone else? I don't think so. I hate forgetting things. Anyway. We all hung out in an appropriately shady food joint that sold every kind of "What a drunken mob would want to eat" food imaginable, as well as nags, creaming canisters (to inhale the nangs), pipes, bongs, lighters, cigarettes and other assorted things that a respectable shop probably wouldn't sell. They're just across from a pub frequented by rockers. They're not silly.

They make AWESOME chips. So we ate chips and chatted, and there was some random from the pub there who seemed to like talking about drugs. Ebbie and I are sort of not the kind of people that really take hard drugs. We have in the past and have a couple of stories but we're not the kind of girls that waste a weekend on being wasted. Some people like it but it's just a hellish, awful experience for me. I can't even drink a bourbon and coke without feeling wretched, for fucks sake! Anyway, so our stories were all from some time ago. LOL. They're still good stories.

Anyway - thanks to Dave for driving me home. Was a fun night. :)

ETA: When I'm drunk, I talk about stupid things. Last night I became a member of the David Krumholtz Advocacy Foundation. "He's hot, don't you think? I recommend David Krumholtz... he's hot!"

the difference between hearing yourself as you talk/sing/whatever and hearing it played back to you is really distrubing!

glad you had a good time :)

I thought you rocked! and have already posted my review - you should go read it.

ALthough there is definitley something to be said for the advice about wearing clothes you're familiar with, and confident in moving in.

Anyone can be a member of the DKAF. Just insist to people that he's really hot. Many times.
