The height of Dorkery

I found an old book on human evolution in my brother's "Do Not Want" book pile. I grabbed it in delight as it looks shady and old and full of shaky facts. There are wet apes in it, I think.

Is it ridiculous that I'm practically shaking in antipication to curl up in bed and read it? Reason being, it should be great to kick-start some ideas for my Mermaid Encyclopaedia (I need a better name for it, something old-timey and verbose).

I'm going to read it now. Fuck it, I'm not doing anything else tonight, and it counts as work if it's contributing to one of my projects, right? ... Right?
