I don't like killing the micies, see? But if I use a live mouse trap - what do I do with the live mouse once I have it? Once I look into its beady little eyes, I won't be able to hurt it! :(

I love me some Easter-time fun. I have my rituals around this time of year, it's my way of being respectful. And even though I'm not a church-going Christian or Catholic (I do go to a Christian Spiritualist Church on rare occasion), I've been brought up with this sort of reverence for this time of year, basically cause my Mum is Catholic. I dunno. I *enjoy* reflecting on the story. I look inside of me and see how it affects me, and it's different every year, because I keep changing and life keeps changing. What it meant to me when I was 18 is different to when I'm 26.

But I don't reflect by reading the actual bible. No. Too much "Thou shalt not!" and so forth. Nup. I watch Jesus movies. It's my ritual. For three days, I watch Jesus movies. There are enough of them to fill the space up, trust me. I don't watch them non-stop, just when I'm not hanging out with my family (which is the other thing I do during Easter).

I'm feeling pretty Pagan this year, though. The main thing running through my head when I was having difficulties finding chocolate goodies on their own and not in a boxed set was "What's a girl gotta do for a cheap chocolate fertility symbol around here?!" Actually, that's probably the extent of my Pagan behaviour (Bunnies and eggs aside). I'm too looking forward to the Jesus movies.

I'll probably do my tradition of putting up screencaps of my favourite Jesus flicks. I might add a particular capture from The Passion. The very end. Phwoah.

DAMN IT. I'm very upset. I don't have "The Last Temptation of Christ", and my little Gnostic heart weeps. I wanna see Willem Dafoe Christ! OH well. So anyway, our traditional Easter line up:

- King of Kings
- The Greatest (LONGEST) Story Ever Told
- Jesus of Nazareth (Mini-series)
- Godspell
- Jesus Christ Superstar
- Ben Hur

If there are any good Barabas movies on or the like, I'll usually sit around for those, too. Shame is that free-to-air TV doesn't really put Jesus movies on anymore. :( Or Easter cartoons with bunnies and shit. I remember when I was a kid it was wall-to-wall Crucifixion and Bunnies for three days! :( How is a girl supposed to sustain the spirit? I guess there's that whole 'faith' thing, but I've never been very good at that.... not in the traditional sense, anyway. I mean, I get very bored praying. I feel weird. Like I'm bothering God. I'm of the thought,"I'll let Him do His job, I'll do mine (being a good person) and we'll both be happy". I only pray if there's something really specific to pray about. Like wishing good for someone, or hoping for someone's recovery, or thanking for some of the good stuff in life.

My actual beliefs are kinda... weird anyway. It's too much to explain, but if you ask, I'll most likely explain. Or try to. *sigh*

Anyway, I'm going to check the local TV guide and see what's on offer. Probably sport :T but I may as well check. I might miss something good!

Love you all,
Nancy.

PS - Ooh! Stigmata! Need to add that to my list! :D Yes, I can fit in Particia Arquette into my celebrations!
