logansrogue: (Meowwy Christmas!)
I had the appointment with my new doctor today. It was amazing. The receptionist was *such* a sweetheart, so much nicer than some of the frosty rich ladies at my other clinic. Then I saw the actual doctor - wow!

What a new experience that was. He actually listened to me! Maybe it's because I'm new or something, I dunno. All I know was that I rattled off the list of symptoms, told him everything that had happened in the last six months, brought him my ultrasounds to show him. He nodded and said:

"Well, the only thing that'll really help you if it is endometriosis - and it most certainly sounds like it is - is to have the laprascopy. It's the only way we'll know for sure."

I was stunned. All the other doctors pussy-footed and hummed and hawwed, even when I'd been ill for four or five months. He seemed surprised that I hadn't had a lap yet. He said that it was good that I was referred to King Edward, that it was the best place for me (as opposed to "Huh? Do you really think that's necessary?") and that I should keep doing what I'm doing - taking the naprosyn, using the heat pack, etc.

So it looks like I'm a step closer to the surgery. I'll admit - I'm scared out of my mind about it, but I can't keep going like this without looking inside and seeing if they can remove some of it.
