Very long weekend.

logansrogueI had a full weekend. Went as follows:
- Cocktail Party
- Staying at Tommo, Sarah, Shig and Meryki's house (for two days)
- Hanging out with nephews and exposing them to good British Comedy.
I will go into them in that order.
Well, this was an interesting night to be sure. I had a Baileys/kalhua/milk thing that was VERY strong, and I was off my tit within the hour. I will never get that drunk, that fast again. I hated it. It was stupid. And I blame the dork that mixed my drink. (I love you, Mr. Person, but you're a dork. God bless). I then try to make myself a cock-sucking cowboy (a giant one), but I, the drunk idiot that I am, accidentally pour VODKA into it, and NOT WHITE SAMBUCCA. I proceed to feel vomitously drunk. How I didn't yak my guts up that night, I'll never know. (Steel stomach lining, maybe, who knows). I have a very quiet couple of hours of sitting on a couch, occasionally groping my boyfriend when he comes within arm's reach (patience of Job, that man), and then leaning on people I have only spoken to a few times. Oh, and having slurred conversations with Anita, who seemed quite concerned about me (bless her soul). After a couple of drinks of water and a rest, however, I'm in fine spirits again. (Pardon the pun). I try to make another drink as I'm quickly sobering up (I must have Wolverine's constitution, man), and I try a few things but settle on another Baileys-esque drink. And that was very yummy, and nice and warm. Then some stuff went down that I'm not going to go into. And then after cuddling Adam for a while, I went inside and the room went nangin'. Yes, a whole bunch of people sucked on those little soda stream cannister thingos, filled with laughing gas, which, as one would think, left the room in giddy and giggly spirits. It was quite amusing to witness. Anyway, after that I decided to go for a walk with Tommo, while poor Adam passed out in front of the heater. Tommo is Adam's best friend (this is for my foreign audience, unisfans know this alreadY) and we had a good old chat while stretching our legs. When we got back, however, Adam had staggered home.
I was planning to stay at HIS house that night. I had nowhere to stay, because he would have climbed into his bed, fallen asleep and therefore fallen unconscious. Once he's asleep, you cannot, can NOT wake him. So there would be no knocking on the door to demand entry. Adam sleeping.
So I slept on the couch at Winthrop, which is what most people call Tommo, Sarah, Shig and Meryki's house, and it's what I'll be calling it cause it's the shorter name. It was a nice sleep, and I woke up and climbed into Meryki's bed and cuddled her, and people came in and I sat there all morning chatting with my extra-good buddies, which is a world of awesomeness. I had so much fun there I didn't want to leave. So I went home quickly to get some stuff, and then went back there. I slept a second night, watched a bad movie with Mer and then watched a very good movie (Daddy's Girl - sucked, Hideous Kinky - awesome). Adam stayed that night, because he and Tommo and Sarah went to a party together. Shig was working. (poor guy). They all came home, very merry, and then everyone pretty much went to bed after the end of Hideous Kinky. You can assume what happened then.
Of course, this sofa bed that I slept on was - well - unstable. I roll over to reach for something on the coffee table, leaning over Adam, and the whole fucking thing upends itself - sideways. Adam and I topple of the fucker and land in a big pile on the floor of limbs, mattress and doonah cover. I collapse into a mess of laughter because this strikes me as incredibly funny. After that excitement, I soon get to sleep. In the morning is a redux of the previous morning, except there are more people piling into the bed for chatting and cuddles. Which again, totally rocks. During the day people go off to do things. Mer and I got to sit quietly and chat, which was really nice. I love talking to her about stuff, she always seems to understand where I'm coming from.
So I borrow a few DVDs off of Tommo and Meryki and go home because I know that my nephews are staying for the weekend, and I don't get to see them too often. I borrow the first two seasons of 'Black Books' on DVD, which is a wickedly funny little series that I enjoy greatly, which I blame Adam for getting me addicted to. Of course, I showed it to Jordie and Josh and now they're addicted to it too. They sat there watching them with me all day and were pissing themselves laughing. They also watched Red Dwarf. Again. They have no chance of normalcy, they really don't, not with aunties like me around, and an uncle like Scotty.
I also finally saw Legally Blonde, and I must say, I just love it when Victor Garber plays the arsehole. I watched that movie for him alone. I mean, it wasn't a great movie, but it was a fun watch. I am going to watch Ghost World and Almost Famous as well. (movies I've been meaning to see but never rented).
Okay. I'm going to puss off and shower and get ready to go see Tom's grandmother, who was gracious enough to finish of a scarf for me. What a sweetheart. I was never going to get it done in time for the premier. The other scarf isn't finished, but I'll no doubt bring it to the premier to knit while I'm waiting for the movie to start.
Anyway, I gotta go loo loo and stuff, and I have a TON of ideas for stories. Be excited. Oh, and I'm halfway through the hippogriff picture. So now you know why I've been quiet for the past few days. Especially since I've barely been able to GET on this damned machine!! LOL!

Norbert wasn't around on Friday and was replaced by a couple running their karaoke show. The woman handed me a form for the championships (yikes, she thinks I was a good singer) and I grabbed two more forms for you and Sarah because you are WAY better singers than I will ever be.
Heats start on Monday at the Breakwater Tav in Hillarys. I'll give the people running it a call and find out some more details but are you interested at all?
