Hey all. I'm opening up this idea for everyone.

The Snitch Challenge.

Below is a drawing by Nancy Lorenz. It features a tattoo on Hermione Granger's stomach. This shall be the basis of the Challenge.

You can basically write about this in any way you please. Did she get it for Harry? Did she get it for kicks? Was she drunk or sober?

The length of the fic is up to you. The rating of the fic is up to you. Go mad.

Link to your effort in a comment here. Also tell me if I have permission to archive the fic on a special page for the challenge.

OMIGOD a fic challenge based on THIS drawing??!! *fans self* Well I see that lissinthecity is already in on this... not sure if I can stand the heat in that kitchen, but maybe I'll try. You know, of course, that any fic based on this drawing is going to be NC-17...well, at least mine would be :)) And now, off to an awful meeting until early afternoon. How in the world will I be able to concentrate??!! *giggles*

Oh, I'd adore any effort you could muster. The thought of other people writing stories on the idea is absolutely delicious. And I'm aware of the rating circumstances. Half the fun, really! :)

oh this is the picture you where talking about. Sorry about that. Wow! I've never writen a NC-17 or even R rated fic before. Not that I haven't thought about it. this could be the one to start down that road. Very nice drawing, I really looking forward to seeing a painted version of this.

The thought of other people writing stories on the idea is absolutely delicious.
I'm not sure if you know that I get a lot of my story ideas from photographs, drawings etc. The visual stuff triggers the words. However I'm at work so I can't actually write any smut using the computer here... But I might work on this in longhand and bring it home. Unfortunately now that I've seen this and want to write about it, I'll probably have to shelve the Valentine's Day story for a day or two...that's just the way I am with story ideas, I have to strike while the iron (or tattoo) is hot or they will leave my brain :( This will probably just a drabblish scene or something. But rest assured I WILL write something about it :D *mwa to the muse*

Sure you can write a story, and the journal is not a prerequisite! But you can get them for free, just in case you were interested :)

I did it! I wrote a story for the challenge - go me! :) Anyway, you can find it here http://fanfiction.portkey.org/index.php?act=read&storyid=1802

In case of any linking problems, the story is called "A Fair Exchange" on Portkey under author name: weird4hanson. Also, yes, you have permission to archive it (if it's good enough).
