Doctor Who, Series 7, Episode Two

Now wait on. I buy Nefertiti being interested in the Doctor, she was a very intellectual woman after all. But never in a million years would she ever, EVER, stray from her husband's side. She and Akhenaten were in love, like they actually really did love the hell out of each other. Total PDA-style carvings and everything. They were so into their relationship they made out like even their SEX was holy.

If they wanted a kick-ass Egyptian Queen to wander around with The Doctor, they should have picked Hapshetsut or Cleopatra. Cleo was at least single most of the time, as was Hapshetsut. But no. Hapshetsut was fat and older than Nefertiti. Not glam enough. And Cleopatra was Macedonian, genetically. So I can see why they wouldn't choose it. I just think it's out of character for Nefertiti to fool about with the Doctor.

I miss the days when not every woman and man wanted to fuck the Doctor.

- OH MY GOD, PERFECT CASTING FOR RORY'S DAD!

- Okay, so I had to finish watching it on my Mum's Mac cause it was killing my pissy video card on my laptop.

- I don't know how they did it, but they managed to make the robots irritating. It's Mitchell and Webb, how could they possibly be irritating?!

- In the end, Nefertiti with that sexist jerk? Are you fucking kidding me?! What IS this fuckery?

- I found the whole Nefertiti subplot triggery as HELL.

- In the end it didn't matter, Nefertiti was just handed from one dude to another.

- Temporal CHANGES, yo. Nefertiti had at least fifteen years with Akhenaten. If the writers weren't halfwitted researchphobes, they could have plucked Nefertiti from the time that she mysteriously disappeared from the written record after the death of Akhenaten. But nooOOOoooo. They picked a time when he was Amenowhatsit. LAZY, bloody LAZY!

- All the white, Imperial bullshit with the hunter character. Seriously, what. the. fuck? Who looks up to characters like that anymore? WHO?

- The tired as hell cliche arguing between Nefertiti and Whatsit. Not cute, not clever. Sad. Tired. Stupid.

- Oh, and yeah, the telegraphing of Amy dying. I know that's going to happen now. They just spelled it out with one scene. Damn it. Well, at least I get to prepare myself.

- Next week, more white dudes with guns. Oh joy.
