Note to Self...

Dear self,

When playing Minecraft (v1.0.0) and you make yourself a portal to the Nether to harvest some yummy looking new NetherStone for your house, REMEMBER WHERE YOU LEFT YOUR FIRST PORTAL.  Cause building another DOES NOT WORK.

No.  You end up where?  THOUSANDS OF BLOCKS AWAY FROM HOME.   And when you try to fly home anyway, it takes forever no matter how fast you fly and after about two thousand blocks your computer grinds to a terrible halt and chokes on the rendering.  And then you have to replace your game with a previously saved copy.  Butthead.

I showed this to the Lad, thinking "This could be a helpful tip for him." He gave me a withering look, and said "I KNEW all that alREADy."

Well! Don't I feel dumb. LOLOL! And I've been playing it for a couple of years too. I just never went into the Nether unless it was my main game, and the rest of the time I was building huge structures.

Can he build a TARDIS? Huh? HUH? Cause I totally did. :D Seventy blocks high with a glowing lamp and police box sign.

I showed him the TARDIS a while ago! He was really impressed!

...though ever so slightly disappointed that it didn't actually fly you through time and space. High standards, I guess.

Well, you'll have to tell him that I'm not quite clever enough to work out the redstone circuitry for *that*! LOL!
