You're right, it totally IS an attempt to shut Assange down. What puzzles me is that it would take more than locking up Assange to stop Wikileaks. Especially if Anonymous get even more behind it than they already are.
I'm as cynical as you are that suddenly a big deal is made out of sexual assault. A big hearty "Fuck YOU" to those governments.
