Mum: Bigger fan that she lets on.
Oct. 12th, 2010 02:31 pmShe's currently watching all of the episodes of Torchwood. Like, one after the other, for days. She's such a fangirl. :)
This is the same woman that watched the Hartnell episodes back in the 60s, never missed a one. :D I think this is proof not all Old Who fans are crotchetty, grumpy jerks telling you to get off their lawn.

Date: 2010-10-12 07:11 am (UTC)Well, perhaps not, but it is the motto of our local chapter of Grumpy Old REAL DOCTOR WHO Fans: Buggere Off Out' Me Gardene, Yez Wee Bastards. It runs on a Fourth-Scarf-style banner, across the bottom of the coat-of-arms: vert, a garden with a bit of fence propre, accompanied sub hoc by a split-level shrubbery with a nice path down the middle, and three herring-bearing lumberjacks propre superior, and a cool Tim the Sorceror hat above, the whole supported by a Vicious Rabbit rampant sinister and a coconut-bearing African Swallow volant dexter.
Or something like that. The fact it's mostly Monty Python references is because that's what was funny, back in the days of dinosaurs and dice-and-paper RPGs, and you wouldn't know, so GET OFF MY LAWN!
It's long, but it really gets across the...tone...of the group.
