logansrogueWent to Kendra's birthday outing, saw Alice In Wonderland in 3D, finally! I was waiting to see it in 3D, and I'm glad I did. It was so very wonderful. I could go on about the performances I enjoyed! Alan Rickman was particularly awesome. He was allowed to be very subtle in his voicework, which was lovely. The young lady playing Alice was so beautiful and had a lot of moxy, I liked her. And even though Helena Bonham Carter is in, like, practically everything Tim Burton has done in the last X number of years, I am not tired of her face. I just love watching her do her thing. Unfortunately I'm feeling a little Johnny Depped out. But I blame his foolish rape apologism for that (Roman Polanski crap).
Wonderland was darker than I expected, but I guess there's good reason for that in the story. And it IS a Tim Burton movie.
But I have been watching the 1985 version of Alice In Wonderland. Everything's darker than that version. The little cute kid playing Alice sings a song to a BABY DEER. That scene is so fucking cute, you'll shit kittens. Oh, and later, she saves a baby goat. So yeah, going from that to Tim Burton was a little disorientating.
But it is a beautiful movie, beautiful and detailed and engulfing.
Then I had a lovely time hanging out with Kendra and friends, meeting new peoples, hugging and snuggling Ju, sitting on Kendra and Sharpie's REALLY COMFORTABLE COUCH, which I want to marry. Cause it's so wonderful.
Anyway, I had a realy nice day. :)
