logansrogueSo there was this douchebaggy ad during the Superbowl. Notice that the things women are asking of him (cleaning up after himself, not leaving the toilet seat down so that women and children don't potentially hurt themselves falling into the bowl, not being a douche, accepting the fact that some of his friends might be douches) aren't really that demanding. It's basic grown-up behaviour.

I've also noticed a lot of guys would be cool with being a stay at home dad and women seem to have the biggest knee jerk reaction to it. At some guys do it despite those stereotypes!

Besides, I think women should be able to both work AND spend a reasonable amount of time with their children.

Date: 2010-02-23 02:50 am (UTC)I've talked to a lot of guys who would love to do it, but there is SO MUCH TEASING they get for it. (Too lazy to work, he's a sissy, etc.) It's pretty sad. I think the US is even worse because they are so much more opposed to reversing gender roles there.
Heh, I'll send all the guys who want to be stay at home dads to Australia if they really get applauded for it there :D
