Grandmother punches a Shark in the nose. AND SURVIVES.

Just reading that story will cause extra hair to grow on your vulva, people.

My goodness, she's brave. And she seems very spunky, which I love. :)

LMFAO, wow. You're still hilarious. Way to re-invent an old metaphor!

I didn't just reinvent that sucker. I subverted it! ;-P

LOL that you did indeed. It was brilliant. People are going to be saying the vulva thing for years. People will be like "Chest?...hair?...WHAT?"

That old lady was bad ass though. She was all cheery like she hadn't just gotten a chunk of her ass bitten off. I wonder if it was the drugs or if she's just that hardcore.

It's totally awesome to be talking to you as well :). You always cracked me up. Do you still use that goddess screen name for AIM? I'll try to catch up with you one of these days. Did you make the artwork for your icon? You were always insanely talented. When I signed on again a couple days ago, one of the first things I did was to look to see if you'd made anything new, but your website is being updated. :(

Go to this website for new art:

I do use that screen name, I'll add it to my digsby (which I only downloaded like yesterday).

Yes, I did the artwork in my icon. :D

You totally should. It's awesome. If you do, you have to tell me how that goes.

I watched that Tarzan show she was in a few years after Xena. I liked it. I wonder why it got cancelled. You wouldn't happen to know, would you?

I have been checking out your Deviant Art account. You have such a unique style. You straddle the line between comics and photo-realism.

Sorry for the hero worship, I'm just taking an art class in college for fun. We're working with charcoal sticks and I'm trying to get my stuff to not look like I'm a child who rolled around in the dirt and tracked it all over the page.

I have no idea. I stopped closely following LL's career after she left Xena. Just wasn't interested. She's a top woman though.

Oh, thank you. I like the theatrics of comic styling, but I like to be anatomically correct and to capture the real essence of things. It comes from Impressionism and the study of traditional Japanese Art more than anything. Comics are just an alternative synthesis of those things, believe it or not! :D

Dude, that's cool, I don't hear feedback for my art all that often. So it's nice, it makes me smile. :)

The trick with charcoal is to not show any fear. Know what you're going to put down and put it down. Charcoal is not for the timid. Oh, and avoid smudging at all costs. Smudging is the downfall of many a beginner. :D

LOL yeah I know, I'm not allowed to smudge anyway...my professor is adamantly against it. Thanks for the advice about the fearlessness. I think that's my problem.

I love your art, I find it hard to believe that you don't get feedback for it very often. You were always my favorite fandom artist, bar none. It was your art that made me want to know you.

That bit about the Japanese art is very interesting. I learned in my art history class that many Japanese artists and European artists reacted oddly to each other's styles.

The Europeans looked down their nose at it, using their prints for packing paper...The Japanese wondered why there were smudges of dirt on their people's faces (shading).

I love art and Art history. I'd love to stroke your ego and talk about art whenever you'd like. I enjoy it very much. Thanks for putting your work out there for people to see. :)

Check out this guy. I don't know if you like Disney....If you don't, this probably won't interest you. I'm amazed at his ability to replicate the characters so well. He's disgustingly talented.

Also, if you are logged in, you can see all the semi-dirty drawings of the mostly naked Disney Princes. It's awesome, like making big bird and elmo porn stars.
