Now just to catch the Tarantula and the Scorpion next summer. *grumble*

i caught the tarantula (not sure how i think i got poisoned in the process) but i bow down to you the bee catcher. my reflexes are not that good!

The trick is to run away with the B button down either right or left in a big straight line. Right-click the cross button to get the net (make sure the net is the only tool in your pockets) and then turn towards the bees, and bring the net down when you see them about two or three squares away from you. By the time the net comes down, they'll be in range. You'll have them.

I am thoroughly impressed! I have been trying to catch those bees for forever but can never seem to manage it. Sounds like I'll have to try your advice. :)
