I had a thought, you know. Today, while driving in the car.

If I did racy modern pin-up art, or furry porn, I could rake in the dough. There's two problems with that, though.

1. I couldn't sleep at night, knowing I was cleaning up by furthering the reductive cultural narrative of the patriarchy;
2. I refuse to draw animal genitals for cash.

Racy pin-ups don't have to be degrading or hold up the patriarchy, they can be very empowering and positive for women. People like Kat von D, Jennifer Tilly, Elvira, and Dita Von Tease are making the Betty Pages make a comeback.

Back in the day when Drhoz took commissions, the price per pic wasn't much. I don't think it's improved much since. Not 'raking in the dough' type. From what I understand there is not a big market for paid non-porn stuff. There can be money to be had in comics, but a lot of it is porn too and you have to work your guts out (and my gods is it *boring* porn as well. How many times can you see a humanoid mouse being fucked by a humanoid horse before you start going *YAWN!*???)
