How awesome is Google Wave?

No, seriously. I'm fucking adoring it. So any of you on it? I'd love to have discussions with you on this motherfucker!

I don't get it - it's like instant messaging crossed with e-mail.

I'm currently working on a comic with my friend Apolla and we figure it'll be really handy when we collaborate on stuff. It's much easier to paste pictures into the convo and link to shit and make notes as we go. IM tends to fuck up with the pictures. It's all neatly in one window with Wave.

Aaaand I sound like a google employee.

I'm telling people it's a project collaboration tool. Satima has already pointed out that we can edit scenes from our books and workshop stuff on it together, so we don't even have to be in the same state.

That I can see. I think my brain fell into the gap between it being a functional tool and everyone going "OMG the Messiah has arrived".

Well, considering that I need to collaborate with people all over the world, that is why it's my Messiah. It'll make writing Apolla's comic and designing characters THAT much easier.

I totally love it. I've been using it for a couple of projects and it is really useful in that regard. Once it starts getting more apps and stuff for it, it will be unstoppable.

It looks more like Google Docs crossed with email to me. Maybe it is meant to be more customizable or something?

Embedding sketching apps in Google wave.

It is possible to embed other sketching apps in a wave, such as skrbl. I have embedded skrbl in a wave and sent it to you, with details of how to do this. Is this useful? Shall we see how well it works?
