Further thoughts.

I think you should, but I think should should have a boundaries post clearly linked to with ever spirituality post, so people have clearer than usual guidelines of what is and isn't okay to say/questions to ask etc... Especially if you intend on making it public.

Because religion and spirituality are issues that get people riled up and argumentative, so it may help minimise any drama that may (but hopefully doesn't) come out of it. Plus that way you don't have to worry for a second about using the delete or banhammer. :P

That's a really brilliant idea. Thanks, Zoe, I'll keep that in mind when I set this up. I mean, it's just going to be the odd post when I have a little moment and think, "Wow, I should share that thought." Nothing Jesusy or anything. Just vaguely spiritual.

Oddly enough, the EXACT PHRASING that came to mind when I read the question was, 'dude, it's your journal, go for your life'!

I was just thinking after a discussion at shakesville that some people can be made uncomfortable by discussions about that sort of thing and I'd hate to put people off reading my journal. :T

I personally find discussions of religion and spirituality incredibly interesting :)

Give people fair warning and then do what you want.

I'd use donttypeangry more but I'm having issues with some coding on the layout and my damned blogger software stopped working so it's a real hassle to post there. :(

I have a separate filter for it, but it is a personal thing depending on how private you feel the need to be.

And have you seen this awesome awesome video with an auto-tuned Carl Sagan singing (and bonus Hawking!)

Okay, that is the GREATEST THING I'VE EVER SEEN. I NEED IT FOR MY BMN SOUNDTRACK.

OH MY GOD, I'M CAPSLOCKED IN AWE!

I have to say I probably won't read them (I'm an atheist, and spiritual discussions don't really interest me *shrug*), but dude, it's your journal, go for your life! What interests me isn't really relevant on your journal. And I think cutting the posts and making it clear that they are spiritual thoughts/musings/discussions is warning enough for those of us who prefer not to read that sort of thing.
