Good movies of the 80s

Ladyhawke is on channel seven at this moment. It's one of my favourite fantasy movies from the 80s. Rutger Hauer is just amazing in it. I don't even like blondes but he's terribly romantic as the Captain of the Guard. Michelle is, of course, eternally ephemeral and fuck - the cast is stellar, isn't it? Fucking brilliant. Not a weak link.

He's just brilliant in that movie. He just encapsulated both human weakness and the joy of forgiveness. It was wonderful, and his relationship with Phillipe was heart-meltingly adorable.
