A video about young African American women and their struggle with messages about the darkness of their skin, and their lost heritage. Made by a young African American woman, I really liked it. The bit about the dolls made me want to cry.

They are all gorgeous, intelligent, wonderful girls, who are going to be stunning, amazing women. They should not feel bad about themselves in the slightest.

I wish I could tell them that.

No problems. As a kid, I was always annoyed that there weren't different coloured barbies. The day I got an Asian Barbie, I was SO delighted. I got a black doll a few years back for my Ron Weasley and I love her, she's totally cute.

I also make heaps of beautiful Sims of every nationality I can think of. Japanese, Northern China, Kalahari people, redheads, blondes, Mediterranean, etc etc etc. The world is full of such beautiful diversity. As an artist, my heart cries when people judge it. How can you judge the palette of nature, the sheer stunning proof of how wonderful we are as a species, how tough and diverse and adaptable?

Oh, it just does my head in. I don't get racism at all.
