I'm watching the episode about the life of stars and a huge star has just gone supernova, and he's in his Ship of the Mind watching it. There's flashes, there's psychadelic animations of the explosion, and there's awesome synth music of the kind common in science shows in the late 70s, early 80s.

I'm thinking, "Dude, all we need now is some Pink Floyd. This would go GREAT!"

AND THEN, DUDE, CARL SAGAN FUCKING DELIVERED!!!

ETA: Dude, he's OPENING MY MIND UP LIKE A FREAKIN' KINDER EGG!
THERE WAS PINK FLOYD IN THE SOUNDTRACK OFTHE EPISODE.

I LOVE THIS MAN!!!

XD I friggin' LOVE the music in Cosmos. I want a soundtrack of the ENTIRE SERIES.

That's episode nine, right? I THINK episode nine was the lives of stars one... yeah, pretty sure it's that one. It has the elements one and the EPIC APPLE PIE. I friggin' love the EPIC APPLE PIE, it's so... EPIC. (And that episode is bookended between my two favourite episodes of the entire series ^_^)

Also! Ovation are showing it again :D 6 PM Thursdays, repeated at midday Fridays. Tomorrow's episode is episode four. Unfortunately, I can't watch any more when term starts, because on Thursday I finish at six and on Friday I finish at midday -_- Oh well, at least I have the DVDs.

Dude, me and my bro were TOTALLY LOSING IT at the apple pie bit! The apple and then the dough and we're like, "He so wrote this bit when he was having the munchies!"

I love in the following episode, he does this thing where he blows bubbles for ages into a tub of soapy water, and me and my brother lost our shit totally. I need to make a lolSagan. "This, kids, is how 'Getting Totally Wasted' is done!" Or "You too can make an easy to use giant bong with a bucket and a plastic TOOB!"

Are you kidding? I am a HUGE Sagan fangirl. What's funny is that people assume I'm atheist because I love Carl Sagan. What I love about Carl Sagan is that his science is so profound it verges on the spiritual, and often comes to the same points as some of the deepest meditations on life do. I love science, I love the scientific process, and I can dig Carl Sagan and not feel silly for being a spiritual person.

Plus I listen to him talk and all my stress melts away. He so awesome! :D
