I did! But a girl overdosed on ecstasy there and ended up dying, which puts a sad pall on what was a brilliant event.

I honestly don't understand the need for drugs. When you're there, jumping up and down with thousands of people, singing the words to your favourite song with your favourite act - what is there better? Lights flashing, crowds roaring, music playing - that's the best thing ever! I wouldn't want a single substance marring my memory of that, personally.

I feel sad for her parents. Man, what a tragedy.

*sigh*

Was still a fucking brilliant show, though.

Damn, that's just... I don't understand it either. I can understand drinking, or smoking, but not doing something like ecstasy whose origins you don't know and can mess you up so bad you can end up fried in the brain or in the morgue.

I'm sorry it put a pallor on the show, but you had a good time. And after all you've been through the last couple of years, you deserved that.

It was like a soothing balm to my soul, I swear to God. There's just so much peace and joy in Neil Young's work, and sadness, but a sadness tinged with 'why aren't things better?' you know? It was just wonderful! Singing along with Neil Young himself, even if he can't hear me!

I'm not a man with a flowing use of the vernacular, so I will just say that I am SOO VERY HAPPY that you had a really good time there.

BIG SQUEE's at you!
