How many cats dwell in your home? 3

What are their descriptions/breeds? 2 moggie tabbies.  Lenny is black stripes on tan to brown fur, Rogue is a silver tabby with ginger flecks and patches.  Melma is a black and white kitty.

What are their names and nicknames? Lenny is often called "Boy", "Fat shit", "old man" and "Da Cat".  I often call him "My old fella" and "My little man", basically cause he's the one male that's been there for me longer than any other (but I'm sure my new boyfriend will aim to beat that record).   Lenny's real name is Lennon George Ringo McCartney.  Rogue's is Rogue Anna Paquin Queenie Bastet.  I often call her Rogie, Rog-a-naut and Ro-Ro-Mo.  I also call her "Little bunny" "bunny-rabbit" and "silkie-puss".  Melma is sometimes Melly.  Or Meyew-Ma.

How come you named them what you did; the history behind their names?
Melma isn't my cat, but she's named after a character in the movie "The Jerk" (Miss UhMelmahaaay).  The other two were named after my obsessions at the time, and the names just fit.

Are any of them related? Nope

Have any of them fathered/mothered kittens? No.  I have a strict de-sexing policy in my house.

If so, how did the cats react to the kittens? N/A

Are they spayed/neutered? Yes.

Are they trained?  Rogue is trained.  Melma has come to an agreement on the conditions of her staying inside the house.  Lenny comes and goes as he pleases and rules his territory.

Had you rescued any of your cats when you got them?  No.  I figure that I saved them from needing to be rescued in the first place, seeing as Lenny was from my sister's cat, and Rogue was from a friend's litter and they needed homes.  Melma was also taken from a friend's litter.

What is each cat’s personality?
Melma is an old whore.  No ears, no nose, she loves everyone and lives for cuddles and pats and attention.  She also loves donuts and any food.  She's always there for you when you need her, she knows when you're sad and will always be there to give you a cuddle.  She loves to share a bed with you and her favourite thing to do is shed fur all over your clothes.  I think she's going senile cause she'll sit in the middle of a room and meow madly until someone either tells her to shut up or gives her attention.
Lenny is a cool bastard.  He's a street fighter.  He loves being patted and sitting on your lap.  He goes batshit for catnip.  He has a special affinity with men, but he really loves his Mummy. (Me).  He loves my Dad and will sit with him for hours.  He loves to play with toys and he loves having a fuss made over him.  He's a Libran cat.
Rogue is a nutcase.  She is up and down the WEIRDEST cat I have ever had.  In some ways she is startlingly clever, in other ways she's a raging dumbass.  She loves me to bits but hates being cuddled and kissed.  She prefers me to sit there and let her rub all over my feet.  She follows me into the toilet at any time of the day, and then goes to pee in her litter tray after I've been for a wiss myself.  She'll run up and down the main walkway of the house as fast as she can.  She acts like a total dickhead inside cardboard boxes.  If you're eating something, she'll do the 'please' action until you give her some food.  (That is lifting a paw and pawing in the air endearingly).  She has a strange little personality and is a part of the family.  All the cats are, but Rogue being an indoor cat, she's a little more intertwined in the family routine.

Are any of your cats comedians? Rogue and Lenny are bother hilarious.

Are any of them solemn? Lenny has his moments.

Do you feel they judge you? How is a cat supposed to judge you?  O_o  They don't have the mental faculties for that!

Do your cats get along? Lenny and Rogue get along beautifully.  But they both tease Melma, who isn't a cat that likes other cats much.

Do you have any other pets? We have a tank full of guppies.

If so, do your cats get along with them? The cats were interested in the fish for about two seconds.  They appeared to be too much work to nom so now they are ignored.

Do you give your cats treats? When they're good, yes.  I like to treat my kitties.

Do they know any tricks? Rogue can sit, say please and she comes when I call her about 60 percent of the time.  Which is pretty good for a cat, I think.

Are they introverted or extroverted? Around people they know, all my cats are extroverted.  Rogue will explore new people, Lenny and Melma, if in the mood, will glom ALL OVER people like total show-offs and attention whores.  Rogue doesn't like being touched, she prefers to do the touching.

Do they get along with people? I think they do.

Do they have their claws? They do.  Declawing, in my opinion, is tantamount to animal abuse.

Are they respectful?  I don't know, are people respectful?  I have absolutely no anthropormorphic expectations of my felines.  They are not dogs, they don't need to be put in a social role to ensure my safety.  The only expectation I have of my cats is their happiness.

Do they have any favorite toys; what toys? Melma only likes crumpled up balls of paper, tinfoil or her absolute favourite - party blowers.  LOVES those.   Lenny loves pelt-covered fake mousies, sticks and dangly string toys.  Rogue loves balls, mousies, feathers, feather dusters, fluffy dusters, sea shells, things that go zoom, paper, plastic bags, regular bags, cardboard boxes, smaller animals, feet, fingers, string, most cat toys you can buy at the store and anything else that is interesting for five minutes.

Do they dig catnip? Oh yes.  I grow it fresh in my garden - they freakin' love the shit.  Lenny is an old-time stoner.

What kind of food are they fed? Dried catfood all through the day and wet food once a day.

Do they beg for your food?  Not usually.  Lenny and Melma know that if they behave themselves, they'll get treated with a bit of our dinner on a paper towel in a designated eating spot.  Rogue sits and says 'please' if you eat something out of a bowl.

Do they like tuna?
Is Clay Aiken gay?

Any of them like veggies or fruits? Melma loves baked goods.

Have any of them had fleas? They've all got fleas, being cats that live both inside and outside.  I treat them for it but I'm not anal about it.

Have you ever given any of them a bath? Only if they have something on them that can harm them (motor oil, mainly).

If so, how did they react? How do you think they'd react?

Do your cats ever go wild during a full moon? Rogue is nuts every day of the freakin' year.  The other two are just laid back and old.

Do any of your cats particularly like music? Lenny used to love listening to me sing.  He still does.  I cuddle him and sing and he purrs.  When I got Rogue, I was going through a tough time health-wise and there-for didn't sing much around her.  As a result, when I sing anything loudly, she comes running up to me like something is wrong with me.  Melma doesn't give a shit either way.

Do any of your cats have bad breath?  Duh.  They don't have oral hygiene and eat a strict diet of meat - of course they have bad breath!

Do any of your cats have health problems?  Melma is pigeon toed and I'm keeping a watch of her nose (what's left of it) in case her skin cancer comes back. Lenny limps slightly, but he's been like that for years.  Rogue is young and hale.

Have they ever challenged a dog?   Lenny has never met a dog that he could be bothered with challenging.  He's way too cool for that.  Melma just avoids them and Rogue hasn't run into any yet.

Any of them ever randomly gone wild? Strange question.  Cats are, by nature, their own animals.

Do they like to be held? At some time or another, they all like a cuddle.

Do loud noises intimidate them? Rogue hates fireworks.  Lenny and Melma are too old and lazy to care.

How do they feel about whistling? They live in a house full of crazy humans.  They don't care.

Are they fearful of the vacuum cleaner? No.

Does a mower scare them? ... I don't even know if we have a mower.

Have they ever caught spiders, cockroaches, moths, mice, or flies inside? Are you kidding, that's Rogue's favourite hobby.

If so, are they good exterminators, or do they just play with the pests? Rogue leaves cockroaches lying all over the floor.  Or she used to.  They don't come visiting anymore.

Are any of them afraid of heights? No.

Do you think they form facial expressions? Yes, as best as a cat can.

Do any of them smell like perfume, naturally? No.  Sometimes their fur retains the smell of what they've been lying in, so they'll smell of wood shavings from the shed, or grass, or fresh washing or the leather of the old couch.  They have their own natural musty cat smells, and it's not really a smell I think is good, per se, but it's them, and I love them, so I do treasure it in a weird way.

Any of them smell not so good? They're cats, they all have their stinky moments.

If so, what do you do about it? Nothing you CAN do, really.  I mean, unless it's outside the norm.

Do any of them feel like mink or rabbit fur? Melma has soft fine fur, but now she's older it mats easier.  Rogue has short fur, but she's soft, and Lenny has very thick glossy fur.

Any of them major shedders? Melma.  Man, that cat leaves fur dopplegangers behind.

Do any of them have a tiny voice? Melma can be very high-pitched and tiny.  But sometimes she has yowling fits and wow, she's LOUD.

How about a loud mouth? Lenny and Rogue are both very vocal kitties.

Do they like to get fur in your face? Rogue will jump on me in the mornings, that's about it.  Oh, and Melma will put her butt in my face if she feels like some attenton.

Do they purr a lot? Rogue barely purrs audibly, but she does purr.  Lenny and Melma are utter sooks that purr very loudly.

Any of them like to roll? Rogue rolls like a total sausage.  Over and over, stretching her kitty arms out and looking at you endearingly as possible.

Any of them like rubbing against legs, chairs, walls; basically everything? Duh, they're cats.

Any of them hyper? Rogue is totally batshit hyper.

Are any of them pretty carefree? Considering they don't have jobs to worry about, nor offspring or responsibilities, I'd say that they're pretty happy with their lot, yes.

How about mischievous? Rogue loves to jump out at you from the dark and attack your ankles, or sit quietly on the dresser in the hall and tap you on the shoulder as you walk past.  Considering our house has had supernatural occurances in the past, it makes us fairly jump.

Do they like to test the boundaries? "Whoever wrote this survey is projecting human emotions onto animals methinks." <-- What Belinda said.

Do they follow you around like shadows? Rogue does sometimes, yes.

Any of them like to throw fits? ... What?

Ever tripped over any of your cats? All the time.

Do any of them ever end up looking hilarious when trying to be menacing?   My cats have never tried to be menacing, not in front of me anyway.

Have your cats ever been exposed to a frog or toad? Probably, I live very close to a lake.

If so, how did they react? Don't think they ate it as it lived happily here for some months.

Do shiny things scare them? No.

How do they feel about birds? Yum-yum, I think.  Except Lenny, he's a mouser (when he can be bothered getting up off his fat arse).

Do they think bags are great? Rogue fucking loves them.  The other two don't care.

Have you ever given them the round cap seal from a milk bottle to play with? No.  I might try that.

Do any of them fetch? No, sadly.

What are their greatest fears? It's a cat.  You can assume that it doesn't like water or sudden loud noises.

Relay a funny incident about one of your cats: If I did that I'd be here all day.  Just trust me that my cats are very funny.  Or look back on my journal.  Or look in my photobucket account, which is overflowing with funny pictures of my felines.

Are they good with children? Incredibly good with them.  Patient and gentle.  Rogue especially loves children, as it means play time with toys and games!

Do they hide from strangers? Only if the stranger tries to pick them up.  Except Melma, who is anybody's.

Do they claw the furniture? No.  They claw a certain leg of the wooden fish-tank stand, but that's it.

How old was each one when adopted?  All were kittens when adopted.

How old are they now? Melma - 17, Lenny - 13, Rogue - 3.

Have you ever moved with your cats? No.  I predict having to do that with Rogue at some point in the future.

If so, how did they react to the move? N/A

Have you ever left your cats home alone while on vacation? No.

If so, were they glad to see you return or didn’t care? Rogue is very upset if I'm not around for longer than a few hours.  I remember when I had to go visit SARC after my sexual assault, and I was there for like, half a day.  When I came back Rogue jumped to her feet on the computer chair and gave me this "WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN?!" meow and was gazing at me with this desperate sort of look that a cat will wear if they haven't seen you for a long time.  It was so sweet, and just what I needed at that point in time.

Also if so, was the home a disaster? N/A

Have you had any cats that have died? Many.  Have had cats around me all my life, and have lost a few of them.  It's never easy, and I miss them all dearly.

If so, how did the other cats, or you, deal with the grief?  I still miss Xena every day.  Lenny went through months of grief after she was gone, and it took him a long time to become friends with Rogue.  Melma didn't care and actually got a lot healthier after Xena was gone because she didn't have to compete for food.

What are their favorite activities?  Lenny: Being awesome, sleeping in a sunny grass patch, sucking up to people, roaming the streets and beating up punks.  Melma:  Sleeping, shedding, eating and sooking.  Rogue:  Being insane, trying to get outside, being outside, showing us lizards that she manages to catch but never seems to do anything with, making a mess with her toys, hiding her toys, hiding our stuff (cords, brushes, etc), being cheeky and sleeping in the best spots in the house (computer chairs, beds, spots in the lounge, etc).

Is there anything odd about each cat?  Melma has had the extremeties of her nose and ears taken off due to being white there and needing to have pre-cancerous growths removed.  Rogue doesn't really know what to do with fresh meat.

Do you feel they have souls? I know they do.

Do any of them have a bell?  All of them  Rogue has more than one.

Any of them sport a fancy, or odd collar to match their personality? Yes.  I always pick one that matches them.  Melma always looks stylish and awesome in a red collar.  Lenny likes simple, bold-coloured collars without decoration, and preferably in real leather.  Before you look at me funny, if Lenny doesn't like his collar, he'll get rid of it.  There have been ridiculous collars I've gotten him that he's lost in a day or two.  Yet if I get him a simple one with a bold colour (green, red, brown, yellow, etc), he'll keep it on.  Rogue has a girly light mauve collar that's all holographic with love-hearts, and a flowery-painted bell, and a love-heart ID tag.

Do you feel your cats are quite different than most cats? I think all cats are unique.  So yes and no, I guess.

Are they a gang, or are they loners? They like being a part of a big family.

Do they spice life up for you? They certainly make it more interesting.

Any of them like to lick you like a dog? Not really.

Do they ever go outside? Lenny is outside most of the time.  Rogue gets to have a run in the garden during the day but must be back in before dark.  Melma does go outside, but prefers it indoors.

Do they like nature? Rogue and Lenny love it.

Have any of them killed anything? Lenny - mice.  Melma - mice, geckos.  Rogue - cockroaches.

Will they ever wear outfits? I've put outfits on them for photos but they don't put up with wearing them.

If you live where there is snow, do they like the snow? No snow here.

How do they feel about wrapped presents? They know that when I bring them something in a bag or in a box and use a certain tone of voice when opening it in front of them, that it means they're going to get something to eat or to play with.  So they usually show some interest.  I don't think they know the concepts of presents though.

Do they get excited about packages? Yes.  They love it when people are opening things up in boxes.

Do they ever go in the car? Only on trips to the vet.

Will they go with you to the park? No, it's outside their territory so they get very frightened.

Do they ever pose for pictures? All the freakin' time.

Do they obey your commands? If they want to, yes.

Do they bite or scratch? Only if frightened or threatened.

Any of them moody like a teenager? Rogue has been going through that phase but she's coming out of it, I think.

What are their eye colors? Melma's - greeny-yellow, like an opal.  Lenny - yellow.  Rogue - green to yellow-green.

What large cats do you think each cat is most like? Melma is like a panda.  That's not a large cat but they don't make large cats as silly and cuddly as Melma.  Rogue is definitely a cheetah, and Lenny is a tiger.

Are they protective of you? Rogue definitely is.  She was very concerned about me during my assault.

Do they have a spiritual bond with you? I believe they do, yes.

Do they like being petted? Love it.

Do they like to be picked up? Lenny when he's in the mood, and Melma definitely.  Rogue - only in the morning, if at all.

Ever trimmed their claws; if so, how did that go? I trim Rogue's claws because she's so freakin' bad at being a cat that she gets them stuck in things if I don't.

Have you ever carried them around on your shoulders? Rogue - All the time.  Others are too big and fat for that.

Any of them climbed into your bag and tried to hitch a ride with you? Of course, cats and bags are often seen together.

Are they leash trained? Hell no!  I tried, but it didn't happen.

How do they feel about the vet? "How would you feel about a strange person who puts you on a cold metal surface, prods you and pokes you, then sticks a thermometer up your arse?" <-- Again, what Belinda said.

Do they have collars? Yes.

Are they timid or adventurous? Lenny and Rogue love to be outside and to explore.  Melma is old and likes her sleepy-time.

Do they smile? In their own feline sort of way, I'm sure they do.

Do they stare? Only if something is new and interesting.

Do they ever hold grudges? I don't think they have the short-term memory for that.

Are they friendly? I think this one has already been answered.

Do they climb on counters or cabinets? The girls, yes.  Lenny, no.

Do they think you are a jungle gym? Rogue only when she was a kitten.

Have any of them ever gotten caught in a couch? No.

Have any of them ever gotten caught in a closet or cabinet? Not when it wasn't deliberate.

Do they climb into bookshelves? Rogue, yes.

Do they have any cat condos? No, they have my house.  It's all the condo they need.

Where do they sleep? On me.  Except Lenny, he's usually outside somewhere snug.

How do they feel about musical instruments, if they ever encounter them? Don't give a shit about them.

Do they do anything they know drives you crazy? Rogue meows repeatedly until you let her outside.  Or she knocks things off of shelves.  She loves that.  Melma meows.  Lenny pisses on things.

Do you love your cats? I wouldn't have them if I wasn't dumb-nuts crazy about them.

Do your cats love you back? As much as a cat can, yes.

Could you live without your cats? Probably, but I'd be bloody miserable.

Do your cats run everything, or do you? I do, I would think.  I like to make them as happy as possible, though, so they get their own way a lot.
