Prayers needed.

Hey.

Uhm, I woke up quite early this morning with the news that my nephew Johnny has been hospitalised. He is severely disabled with cerebral palsy and has always had breathing problems.

It seems he's got pneumonia, and the doctors think he's not going to make it. That it's a matter of time.

I said goodbye to him this morning, and it's one of the hardest things I've ever had to do. It was hard enough saying goodbye to my nephew's cat, but a person... a person who's brought you so much love and happiness - oh it kills me. My heart is breaking.

Johnny has been a touchstone of light and love my whole life. I've learnt more about living from him than anyone. In a way, I'm not surprised God wants him back - he's a pure and wonderful soul.

So please, if it's in your belief system, pray for him. If not, just give a thought. He's a top bloke and our family is going to be less without him.




This is a few years old, but he's so happy in this photo. He's with his Mum, Cati. There's sunshine in his eyes.

ETA: Report from Mum: Just want you to know we are cautiously optimistic about Johnny. His temperature is down, his oxygen is good and he is having nebulisers and physio overnight and tomorrow. He had some of his canned food earlier and woke up just as we were leaving. Rolf is with him now. I am hoping the improvement continues, please God! He looked pretty bad this morning but has improved gradually all day.
