Mystery Science Madness

logansrogueHi everyone! Yeah, it's the new year.
I saw my new year in with a tape *full* of Joel episodes of Mystery Science Theater, after rockin' it in with my family outside. I spent it with those that I love dearly, and I spent it with a tape of my favourite show on tv. Of all TV shows, it doesn't ever make me sad like Xena did, or Buffy did, or X-Files did. It didn't really get ruined by stupid producers and stuff, because the elements were essentially the same, and although I miss Joel once he leaves the show, Mike is a sweet enough doofus and his repor with the bots humourous enough for me not to be bothered by it too much.
Anyways. So, I'm kinda addicted to it. Another thing I'm addicted to is Neopets. I won about 1000 neopoints today, and the craziest thing is it took me like, four hours to do it. Wish it were real money damn it all. So I also entered my pet, AmaryllisCelladine, into a beauty competition. I dunno if it's really fair of me to do that, being a professional artist and all, but I figure Amaryllis is so pretty she deserves nice things like anyone else does. I'm going to buy her a shop too, so she's going to be quite the up and coming NeoGirl.
I'd really like it if the Neopets were Mystery Science Theatre thingos. So you'd have like, NeoDr.Forrester, and NeoServo, and NeoCrow. Wouldn't that be hilarious? ^_^ I'd have fun with it.
Finally, I'm reading Lord of the Rings, and really *really* enjoying it. I read the Hobbit in one night, I was really proud of that, and now I'm tackling Fellowship of the Rings. I can see bits that Peter Jackson added to it, and it really really works nicely in bringing out the soul of the book. I've been most amused with the party scenes, and Frodo dealing with his relatives at the beginning of the book. I can just see Elijah Wood playing those parts - it's preciousss.
My friend Azina and I are sharing a bit of Frodo obsession lately, and I'm getting her all giddy over Joel again (because Joel's all new to me cause I only started watching MST3K last year or whatever). I wrote a story about me going to the Satellite, and she really loved it. I'm tempted to put it up at fanfiction.net, but I'm a bit nervous people will flame me over it.
On nets, I am getting my webpage up soon. I'm still building it, and it's slow going but I am working on it. Till then, visit nancylorenz.com and visit the messageboard ^_^ It's quite a lot of fun!
