Cheering myself up: Big Rogue Diaries.
Jul. 8th, 2008 10:26 pmHere's an episode of the Big Rogue Diaries:

As can be seen here, this little Rogue cat is getting as flat as possible, spreading her arms wide and pretending to be her prey animal - the chicken.

If she is able to keep still and chicken-like for long enough, eventually a cooked chicken will present itself to her, unable to resist her chicken-like pose.

From this angle, the likeness is uncanny.

One can see how prepared this Rogue is to tear into any unsuspecting chicken prey...

... or not.

Rogues will often climb into cardboard boxes to get the best vantage-point when hunting.

Rogues are *very* patient.

...

VERY, very patient.

The Rogue scents prey!

... And does nothing.

Then has a nap.

Then wakes up and hangs out for a while.

Rogues are very curious animals.

Poor Rogue is looking hungry. I hope she manages to catch some prey today.

She's spotted a squishie-beest! Oh, good luck, Rogue!

You know, you feel sorry for the poor packet of beef, half of you is hoping that it gets away, but the other half is just cheering that Rogue cat on! She needs that meal!

Oh LOOK at that!

The way she just leans out and sniffs that beef... that's poetry in motion. That's like listening to a piece of classical music. Or watching supreme martial arts.

That's nature at work, people.

Good girl, Rogue. Good girl!

*cue South African native singing music*
... Uhm, you'd probably have to have seen a few episodes of the Big Cat Diaries to get the gag. Yeah, I'm really lame! LOL!
