Will you lot still love me if I listen to Mika? And you know... enjoy it?

ETA: It's okay. I only like one of his songs. *phew*

ETA2: Okay I'm tired of it already. And listening to his other songs, they're all the same and not even as good as "Love Today", which was good cause it had some rougher singing in it. I had a Mika fascination for like... half an hour or something. That's gotta be a record.

Will you hate me when I tell you I have his album and love it?

Nah, I don't mind. Different strokes, I say. I can understand why you enjoy his music. It's happy.

Its happy tunes but the lyrics are often quite sad or fucked up. Its the dichotomy I enjoy

Heh. I wasn't aware my love of Mika (one of my favorite albums from last year) was something I should hide. I guess have had this thing for happy/poppy music paired with dark-ish lyrics ever since The Police...

What I love about Mika is the way all the tunes are so bouncy/happy/cheerful and all the lyrics are so absolutely emo. Being bipolar was never so lyrical before.

I hadn't listened to the lyrics that closely. Whoops!

*feels validated*
I never knew what a nice feeling it is to have total strangers agree with me.

Who the hell is Mika? I had to ask (and I'm kind of scared that I did!)

A rather effeminate strange pop singer who sings in a falsetto, even though he can sing like Freddie Mercury if he wanted to. No, he insists on singing in a high silly voice. It baffles me.
