Ridiculous amount of things to do today. I've left EVERYTHING to the last fucking minute!

- Bake gingerbread cookies and decorate them.
- Finish a Christmas H/Hr picture
- Go shopping for the last of my gifts
- Learn, sing an record a song for Youtube
- Finish RPG Arc so I can have a Christmas Post
- Go to a Christmas Eve party

So, in short:

FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK!

Merry Christmas, everybody.

*pets you*

I'm still envisioning Christmas in summer. Dude, we've had more than 2 feet of snow here since December 1st. So we're definitely having a white Christmas this year. I could live without the 0F windchill though, and the blowing and drifting....right.

Oh, the warm weather is lovely. I get to try out a sexy new red satin halter-neck top this year which I'd never get to wear in the cold weather. :D Dude, seriously, it's going to be like 38 degrees C this year!!!

Snow sounds like SO much fun though!

Snow never stopped being fun when I was living in Newcastle in the UK. But then, I only lived there for seven years so I probably still have a mental age of seven so far as snow is concerned!

It also never snows more than a few inches there, so there was only a few days ever that I couldn't get the car up the twisty driveway without shoveling and salting, so even that was novel.

I'm glad you never got tired of snow. I've lived here too long (way over 20 years) and dealt with enough snow that it lost its novelty after a few years :)

I can understand that. One of the reasons we moved back to Australia was that [livejournal.com profile] rabbit1080 got sick of it being gloomy eight months of they year; she grew up in a warmer town than I did.

Oh Jesus I don't envy you if you still have to get out to shop. I was in the mall yesterday just trying to buy tickets for a movie, every asshole and his asshole mother packed themselves in like a tin of sardines

asshole sardines.

Sardines are oily, and they smell. Fucking sardines.

Dude, your icon is fucking awesome!

Thankfully Perth isn't all that big a city. And I'll be avoiding the cinemas.

In absolutely and utterly hear you. I'm glad I'm not working today. I have to:

buy all my christmas presents (might still not get to this)
make my christmas cake
make the trifle for tomorrow
make one of the vegie dishes for tomorrow
try and sort something else out.

It'll get done, but some things might not. All the food will.

*laugh* I don't, I just love baking and giving things to people. I'll probably have to do without the 'things' part this year, but not the baking!! Muwhahaahaha!

I love cooking for this time of year.

Yesterday, I made:

~ batch of melting moments, divided into half so half were passionfruit and half were chocolate (iced with mint)
~ 2 batches of gingernuts (because the first was so good)
~ the tea cake for the trifle for tonight
~ the rum balls, from the butter cake I'd made the day before
~ and dinner! (cottage pie)

SO GOOD YUM YUM YUM (it's the only time of the year when I get away with this much baking :D)
