There's an article. In Rolling Stone. Saying how Dateline and Perverted Justice are now trying to 'nudge' certain cites, Livejournal included, to more ~carefully monitor their content so's not to harm teh children~. Myspace is disgustingly exempt from this part of the witch hunt because they deleted a bunch of registered sex-offenders, and all this just so happens to coincide with the recent bannings of the pr0nny fanartists, if I'm remembering all of this correctly.
I think I have all that right, I'd need to check again, but it just burns me so much because I'm not sure that PJ and whoever else could possibly waste time more, and the fact that LJ's pandering to them's just horrid. If they're looking for a pedo ring, they are absolutely wasting their time poking around here.

*Huuuggles* SRSLY--I actually don't even know where it's gone or what's happened with it within the last little bit, 'cause my internet's been down during the move we just made. I'm pretty sure that's the bases, but I'm not 'in' it enough to know what exactly's going on right now--I just know it's pissing people off. LJ tried to pull the damn sort of thing once before; they know about fandom here, they know there's no friggen pedo ring or whatever the hell they're trying to hunt down, so I'm kinda shocked they're doing this again. 'Cause it worked out so well for them last time.
My icon kind of sums up my mental picture for all this; Chris Hansen, with his cameras, busting into someone's house, probably looking for some 40 year old dude in his basement, and what they come across is like a girl, probably around my age, sitting at her computer and very annoyed with Dateline for interrupting her writing process. "I AM WRITING MY SLASHFIC. WHAT DO YOU WANT?!"
*Giggles* Wow, I just re-read all that, and I swear I'm not as angry as I sound. Just frustrated for the undeserving and the fact that LJ's being stupid in general. I think it's awful, but I don't mean to seem so ~personally~ offended. :P

Oh, my sleeping pattern is fucked too. I've been having panic attacks (long story) and it's really hard to sleep with that much adrenalin in one's system. I have to get up early tomorrow and go to a special meeting with my jobseeker people, it's not going to be good. Not with how sick I am.

Haha, yes--See, I'm sorta reluctant to explain it to anyone, 'cause I'm so afraid I wont do it justice and will turn them off, but...Basically, yeah, you've got it right; it's a really fabulous book, the first of three currently out, about a girl called Bella who moves to a rainy little Washington town to live with her father when her mother moves to get married, and while there she falls intensely in love with a vampire called Edward Cullen who lives there with his family, because it's so rainy and small and the fact that they're vampires who don't eat people goes unnoticed. Everyone just thinks the family is freakishly gorgeous and quiet, and I am spoiling this way, way too much for you and I really hope I haven't turned you off with my horrible explaining, but dude. It is. SO GOOD. Pleeeaase trust me.
