Of all things - shoes.

Shoes are an inordinate comfort for me right now. (Life is being rough - long story). In the last month or so, I've bought four pairs of shoes. In credit of my spending savvy, I've only spent seventy bucks on them *total*. I keep finding good shoes in sales. Fashion is actually not sucking lately - holy hell. THANK you, Hollywood, for bringing retro loud patterns back in flattering, Regency-line tops that augment the boobs and shoulders and hide those tummies. There are no words for how happy I am about that.

Anyway - shoes! I don't do court shoes. But these aren't court shoes - they're PLATFORM STILLETOS! (My best friend Bianca would get that one, we'd say that in a Bronx-y sort of accent when we were teens when we were trying to warm up in a different accent ... never mind).

I have to take photos of these shoes so you can understand why I love them so much. I put them on and I can just feel the sexy creeping into my bones. You know what I love about my new shoes? They're DELICIOUSLY IMPRACTICAL! :D It's the sort of stupid, pointless, airheaded thing that young women buy! And it makes me feel so young and stupid and alive to tart around in these ridiculous shoes! That's important to me right now, I think.

Sims time again, methinks. I can't play for long though - I have a flu. I hate flu. I just got sick all of a sudden today and I feel so awful. Sick nose, sick head, burny eyes, just hell. :(

I love the shoes in this icon of mine, but I could only wear them for like 10 minutes before I either sprained my ankle, broke my leg or was just in immense pain. I really do love my Blundstone boots, I can sleep in those.

Next Friday I intend to be at karaoke. If you're feeling okay and don't have anything on it'd be awesome to see you there! :)

I'd love to go! I have a flu though, so we'll see how I feel by then. I'm absolutely rotten right now, headache, sore sinuses. I haven't any cold and flu meds either, other than the immune boost stuff (which doesn't seem to be helping this time).
